Growing 1 month at a Time

Here are pictures I took of Kiley each time she turned another month old. I wish I would have done this with Olivia, it is amazing to see how much they grow in such a short period of time.

Burgers and Horses (but not Horse Burgers)

What a busy few days we have had! We are enjoying this warmer weather and have been finding lots of fun stuff to do outdoors. We went and visited Olivia's Grandpa James and spent some time playing with his horse. Olivia has no fear of big animals, and she loves getting to pet and feed the horse.

We also took some time to go shopping together and the girls enjoyed being pushed around in their double stroller. Here are some pictures we took when we stopped for a burger:

Hello Old Friend

Here we are again!!! I have been down this road many times, I will start a blog and then time/circumstances always get it the way and I end up forgetting about it. Not this time, I am determined to stick with it. The older our two beautiful girls get the more I want to be sure to document every moment. Every time they smile, laugh, cry, do something silly, I want so desperately to capture that moment...they are gone so quickly. Life is never boring with a 3 year old and a 7 month old so I am sure I will have plenty to write about! Life is busy right now but in the best possible way. Josh works full time and I get to be a stay-at-home mommy. I am so grateful that I am able to stay home and enjoy this time with my girls. I am working on Olivia and Kiley's birth story so as soon as those finish I will share them.

Both of the girls are doing well. Kiley is 7 months now and growing so fast! She might have been a little miracle baby (3lbs 15oz) but she is now a strong little girl who LOVES to smile! Anyone who is around her often will always come up to her looking for one of Kiley's beautiful smiles, it's as if she smiles with her whole body. I feel like I am given a gift every time she looks up at me and gives me one of those priceless smiles. Olivia is my strong, independent, sweetheart! She is so smart and amazes me everyday with how much she learns. She loves Dora and is learning lots of words in Spanish, in fact the other day she was climbing up on top of her bunk bed and she started yelling "ayudame" which apparently means help in Spanish, I had to look it up because I couldn't understand what she was saying. I suppose I should be watching Dora too! Olivia loves being outside and she is such a tomboy. Don't get me wrong she likes pretending to be a "pretty princess" but most of the time she can be found outside in the dirt or helping her Daddy out with whatever he is working on. She has such an independent streak in her but at the same time she is the most loving child that I have ever known. She is constantly telling us how much she loves us and how much she loves other people in her life. We have worked really hard to show a lot of love in our home and that leads me to the reason for the title of our Blog "TheLeonardLove". Everything we do is based on the love we have for God and the love we have for each other.

I hope to write more and to share with you the joys of parenthood. I am thankful everyday for my girls and for my husband who is also my best friend so on that note I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes...

“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”
